Josie & the Pussycats 20th Anniversary Movie & Music Party

It's the 20th anniversary of JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, the cinematic pop sensation and one of the greatest cult classic films of all-time, and we're celebrating with a bodacious bash at Bat City Comic Professionals comic shop with a portion of proceeds benefiting Austin Pets Alive! (We're basically celebrating ALL the pussycats in the world.)

We'll be handing out cat ears to special guests to celebrate and kick off the night with a live musical set from the killer Josie and the Pussycats cover band, a pop supergroup made of members of Mean Jolene and Stretch Panic! Then we'll screen the star-studded satire film and have a celebration of the thrashing trio of Rachael Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson, and Tara Reid with a special toast, some special prizes, and we may have to throw in a shout-out to DuJour, the best boy band ever, as well. Because DuJour means friendship (and seatbelts, of course.) Refreshments will be provided by Circle Brewing, Doers Vodka, and Dulce Vita Tequila for a suggested donation to support Torpedo and Austin Pets Alive! Ancient Citrus, local band promoters and curators of the largest Austin Spotify playlist in the country, will also be partying with us
